This policy explains which personal data Agrolite's apps process, what for, with whom it is shared, and how you can exercise your rights under Brazil's General Data Protection Law (Law 13,709/2018, LGPD). The Portuguese version prevails.
Who we are
The apps belong to Rav Tecnologia (Rav Soluções Tecnológicas Ltda), the controller of the personal data processed in them. The data protection officer is José Marcílio de Sousa. For any privacy matter, and to reach him, write to contato@agrolite.com.br.
What this policy covers
- Agrolite — the farm management app, on phones.
- Agrolite Manejo — the corral app, on phones (Android and iPhone) and on computers.
The apps are work tools for Agrolite's client farms. Accounts are created by the farm (each account's manager), not by the apps themselves.
What data we process
Account and access
Name, e-mail or employee number, and the user id. The password is checked by the authentication service (Amazon Cognito) and never stored in plain text by the apps; the device keeps only an access token, so you do not have to type the password every time.
Farm and work data
What you record: animals, tags, weights, procedures, activities, notes and, in Agrolite, photos and files you attach. These records belong to the farm and are visible to the people of the same account, under the permissions its manager sets. Each record keeps who made it and when.
Data kept on the device
To work with no internet in the field and in the corral, the apps keep on the device the day's work, the farm's herd and the records not yet sent. When another person signs in to Agrolite Manejo, the data downloaded by the previous one is erased from the device; records not yet sent are kept until they reach Agrolite, so field work is not lost.
Location
With your permission and with the app open, the location is recorded when an activity or a handling is completed, to show on Agrolite's map where it was done. Agrolite Manejo also reads it when a handling starts, as a fallback should the GPS signal fail at the end. Location is not collected in the background. On Android 11 and earlier the system also requires that permission to look for Bluetooth devices.
Camera, photos and files (Agrolite app only)
Used when you choose to take or attach a picture or a document to a record.
Bluetooth
Used to connect the corral's equipment: tag readers and scales. It is not used to know where you are.
Notifications (Agrolite app only)
With your permission, a device identifier for notifications is sent to Agrolite, so you receive alerts.
Crash reports
When an app crashes, a report is sent through Firebase Crashlytics (Google): what failed, the device's model and system, the app version, an installation id and, in Agrolite Manejo, the last lines of the app's technical log (for example, which Agrolite addresses were called and the state of the reader and the scale). The report includes no password or access token, and is not linked to your name or e-mail.
The apps show no ads, sell no data, and do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
What we use it for, and the legal basis
- Providing the service the farm contracted — access, sync, work records and support — based on the performance of the contract and on the legitimate interest of the farm and of Agrolite.
- Keeping the apps stable and secure, with crash reports, based on legitimate interest.
- Location, camera and notifications are used only after you allow them on the device; you can withdraw that permission at any time in the system settings.
- Complying with legal obligations, where they apply.
Who we share it with
Only with providers that run the service on our behalf, bound to use the data for that alone:
- Amazon Web Services — hosting, database, files and authentication.
- Google (Firebase) — crash reports and notification delivery.
- Apple and Google — distribution of the apps and delivery of notifications by iOS and Android.
These services may store data outside Brazil, especially in the United States. That international transfer is made with providers that adopt contractual clauses and security measures compatible with the LGPD. We may also share data when the law or a competent authority requires it.
How long we keep it
- Account data and farm records: while the farm's contract is active. Once it ends, they are deleted within 30 days, except what the law requires us to keep.
- Crash reports: up to 90 days.
- Data on the device: until you sign out, another person signs in, or the app is uninstalled — which erases everything it kept.
Your rights
Under the LGPD you may ask for confirmation that we process your data, access to it, correction, anonymization, blocking or deletion of unnecessary data, portability, information on sharing, and withdraw consent. To exercise any of these rights, or to ask for your account and your data to be deleted, write to contato@agrolite.com.br. As accounts belong to the farm, we may confirm the request with the account's manager. You may also file a complaint with Brazil's National Data Protection Authority (ANPD).
Security
All communication between the apps and Agrolite is encrypted (HTTPS). Data kept on the device stays in the app's private storage. No means of transmission or storage is fully secure, but we take technical and administrative measures to protect the data.
Children
The apps are work tools for adults and are not meant for anyone under 18.
Changes
We may update this policy. The version in effect is always on this page, dated at the top; relevant changes will be announced in the apps.
